Magellan® Bench-scale STT® Equipment

The STT® system is a combination of patented processes and equipment for the manufacture of chemicals and pharmaceuticals. The Magellan® Series of reactors is well suited for bench-scale production and process optimization where rapid testing can be performed with limited amounts of reactants.

The Magellan system is a bench top unit designed for use in R&D facilities.

The advantages include:

Continuous testing
Small amount of chemical use and disposal
Possible to do several weeks worth of conventional testing in a single day
Safe for hazardous reactions (ex. slow addition chemistry)
External heat exchanger for temperature control

Electronically controlled and data logging capability
Testing at bench level translates directly to pilot and commercial scale
Reactor easily fits in bench top fume hoods
Working volumes of 2 to 12 ml
Customized connections can be provided to interface with real time analysis equipment such as HPLC or IR
